Lucknow: In a continued effort to promote women’s safety and awareness, the Wazirganj police conducted a special ‘Mission Shakti’ campaign, witnessing participation from a large number of women in the area.
The awareness programme was organized under the leadership of Inspector Rajesh Kumar Tripathi, focusing on educating women about their rights, legal protections, and personal safety measures.
During the session, police officials informed participants about key emergency helplines, including 1090 (Women Power Line) and 112 (emergency services), urging them to make use of these services whenever needed. Women were also guided on self-defense techniques and encouraged to promptly contact the police in any emergency situation.

Officials emphasized that incidents such as harassment, domestic violence, or any form of crime should be reported without hesitation. The interactive session saw active participation, with women raising questions and engaging in open discussions on safety-related concerns.
Speaking on the occasion, the Station House Officer of Wazirganj stated that such initiatives will continue in the future to strengthen awareness, boost confidence among women, and ensure they feel safe and empowered in society.
